He was recorded as the head of a household that also included his wife, Alice Jane Edwards, his sons Russell Edwards Sprong and David Henry Sprong, his daughter Olive Tilson Sprong. They lived at a rented farm.. Other members of the household were a housekeeper, Florence Philips (recorded as 29 years old), and two boarders who worked as farmhands, Louis Ruggie (recorded as 62 years old) and Ray Ruggie (recorded as 24 years old).1 Oliver Tilson Sprong died on 31 May 1951 in Los Angeles, California, at age 85.2 He was buried in Los Angeles.3 |
