Updated! (8 August 2005)
My daughter was born a couple of weeks after the last update to this site, which explains why it's been so long since I've been able to add new information (she's now 10-1/2 months old). Frankly, I don't remember what I've done since then! Luckily, you can check out the "Recent Changes" index to see who's new or has updated information.
Most people have only relatively basic information included at this time. I have managed to get many of the stories and anecdotes that people have shared with me into some entries, so even if you've already seen someone here before, if they appear in the "Recent Changes" index then take a second look to see if there's anything new. My primary goal remains making contact with other relatives whom I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting. If you tie in with any of these family lines, I would love to hear from you.
One of the most enjoyable things about creating this site was including all the pictures of my and my husband's family. I hope you enjoy looking at them. I must give a lot of the credit for the pictures on my side of the family to my dad, who took on the enormous project of scanning in all the old family photographs that he and his siblings have and then distributing them on a CD so that we could all share them. On my husband's side of the family, my father-in-law Brian, his brother Colin, and his cousin Stephen kindly loaned me many of their family pictures for me to scan and use in the family history.
One last thing to point out: whenever you see a page icon in the narrative, you can click on it to open a file. For information from the Catholic Church records, I have included a link to an *.rtf document that shows both the scan of the original entry as well as a transcription and translation done by Dad. (The files aren't small, so they may be more practical for those of you with high-speed access to the Internet.)
Please contact me if you wish to share or correct information. I would be delighted to hear from you.
