Sprong, Kickapoo, Kansas (later Atchison County, Kansas), 1 August 1859 (Atchison County Clerk (Kansas)) This document was obtained by Pat and Cynthia (Sprong) Karl in 1999. They went to the County Clerk's office in the Atchison County Courthouse and asked for a copy of everything relating to the Sprong farm. Unfortunately full citation information was not provided by the clerk; the page provided is stamped with "167" in the upper right corner. The page with David H. Sprong's entry also lists the following names: Henry Sacks, Francis M. Burke, Henry Gills, Elizabeth A. Burke, Thomas J. THompson, John Groff [sp?], James Bolett [sp?], and William Brown. Entries on the page are handwritten but are not in date order; I do not know why.
